Just finished this book. Simple and easy to read. Nothing much to shout about. The story revolves round a English footballer by the name of Chris Osbourne who came to Singapore to ply his trade after failed stints in England and Australia. He was really successful and well loved by local fans. He brought the excitement back to S-league. However all was doomed to fail as soon as his life is being affected by bad influences. Women, sex and drugs and eventually match fixing.Quite a fair bit of local context and sarcasm. I just wonder how much of this is real. Almost 90%, I feel.
